Introducing Beyonders

By Beyonders

Beyonders is the company behind an AI-native operating system. We are building the machine that runs itself, carefully.

The idea is simple to state and hard to earn. An operating system should understand its own state: which packages are installed, which services are running, which configuration has drifted. When you ask for an outcome, it should propose a plan, show you what that plan will touch, and act through named capabilities instead of a raw shell.

What we are building

Four things share one account and one task model.

  • Directioner-OS is the AI-native Linux operating system.
  • AI-Engineer is the subscription that grants access to the agent.
  • Directioner-CLI is the local AI engineering agent, prebuilt into the OS.
  • Aria is the voice assistant built into the OS.

What works today

Directioner-CLI runs locally as a coding and engineering agent. It reads a repository, proposes changes, applies them, and runs commands to check its own work inside a boundary you grant. The backend that will carry identity, entitlements and task history is running.

Directioner-OS, its AI Engineer control plane, the hosted account and Aria are in development. We will describe them as done only when they are.

How we work

Authority is bounded. A model response, a tool result or a file in a repository can inform a decision, but none of them can authorise an action. That authority lives in the policy layer, and it is enforced independently at the system level.

We would rather tell you what does not work yet than claim a capability we cannot show. The roadmap is the honest current state.
