Beyonders

The AI-native operating system.

Directioner-OS understands your machine, proposes a plan, and acts through typed, scoped capabilities. Aria is its voice. Directioner-CLI is its engineer.

Directioner-OS is in active development. Directioner-CLI runs locally today.

How it works

Every action follows the same path.

Nothing the AI does is a raw shell command. A request becomes a plan, the plan is checked against policy, and the result is verified before it is called done.

  1. Intent. You describe the outcome in plain language.
  2. Plan. The planner proposes steps, assumptions and blast radius. Read-only.
  3. Policy. Each step is scored and routed to auto, notify, confirm or expert review.
  4. Execute. Approved steps run through the capability layer in small, checkpointed increments.
  5. Verify. An independent check confirms the observed result matches the intent.
  6. Record. The action, its decision and its outcome are written to the Work Log.
Trust

Capability, not command line.

The privileged path is designed, typed and enforced, so the AI can be useful without being trusted blindly.

Typed capabilities

Actions are named, versioned capabilities like package.install or service.restart, never an open command line.

Approval gates

Risky changes wait for you. The blast radius of a change decides whether it runs, notifies, or asks first.

A Work Log

A persistent record of what the AI did and why, with a one-click view of the exact operations it used.

Local first

Local first. Cloud optional.

Routine reasoning runs on your machine. When a task needs a larger model, that is a choice you can see and control, not a default you cannot turn off.

The base operating system is free. AI-driven control-plane capability becomes a paid subscription after a usage rate limit. See pricing.

Text is never authority

Model, tool and repository output can inform a decision. Only the policy layer can authorise an action.

One account

One Beyonders account spans the OS, the AI-Engineer, Directioner-CLI and Aria — subscriptions, devices and history.

Honest status

We describe what works and what does not. A capability is not advertised as live before it is verified.

Where this is today

Directioner-CLI runs locally as a coding and engineering agent today. The hosted account, model gateway and cloud task history are in development. Directioner-OS and its Aria voice assistant are in development.
